Wing City 1456 Belt Line Rd #129, Garland, TX 75044 Hot, Lemon Pepper, Honey BBQ, Garlic Parmesean 7.5 7.5 N/A 7.5 This place came highly recommended by a mutual friend of ours. While I feel it didn’t quite live up to the hype, it was a decent experience. The location had a more underground sort of vibe where the people who knew about the place all knew each other. The day we went was also a poker night which was cool to see happen. The wings themselves were pretty good. The sauces were the best parts with the buffalo and lemon pepper outshining the overly sweet bbq by a good margin. The wings themselves were a bit small and overcooked, but still tasty and had a good skin on them.
Valley Wings 7989 Belt Line Rd #110, Dallas, TX 75248 Buffalo, Honey Lemon Pepper, BBQ 9.0 8.5 N/A 8.75 These were some of the best wings I have ever had and had a price tag to match. Each wing was massive and full of juice with a nice crispy skin. The flavors were fantastic across the board. The buffalo wings had actual flavor to them other than just heat, the bbq had a bit of spice and seasoning to it, and the lemon pepper had a fantastic balance where both flavors and the chicken were all able to shine.
WingStop 900 N Coit Rd #2700, Richardson, TX 75248 Buffalo, Lemon Pepper, Hickory BBQ 6.75 6.5 N/A 6.63 WingStop was nothing if not consistent. Every wing tried was the same in terms of the cook with the only difference being the sauce itself. Every wing tried was decent with regard to the preparation. They were all slightly crispy and had a bit of juice to them. Not as much as I would have liked but not enough to make the wings bad. The honey bbq was very much on the sweet side and you could really taste the chemicals. Both the buffalo and the lemon pepper were solid flavors but could be better.
Buffalo Wild Wings 3625 Central Expy #100, Plano, TX 75023 Buffalo, Lemon Pepper, Asian Zing, Garlic Parmesean, Mango Habanero 5.5 6.0 6.0 5.83 What Buffalo Wild Wings lacks in quality it partially makes up for in quantity and ambiance. This place was the exact image of a sports bar and had the fun environment that came with it. Their flavor selection was particularly extensive with a wide range of heat levels. That being said, the spice levels are weighted slightly towards the light side. The mango habanero was very hot, but not nearly as hot as it could have been. The wings themselves were on the smaller side and clearly cooked well ahead of time and then re-heated and tossed in the sauces. This led to very quick time to table and warm wings, but not very juicy and a bit overcooked. The sauces were decent with the lemon pepper sauce standing out as the best from this location.
Wing SZN 6413 Hillcrest Ave, Dallas, TX 75205 Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Lemon Pepper 8.0 7.0 N/A 7.5 Fantastic wings for the price. When the wings were fresh out of the oven, the skin was crispy, wings were juicy, and the flavor of the buffalo and lemon pepper really came through. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes the wings became a bit soggy and the buffalo wings in particular lost a lot in flavor and texture. The bbq wings were a bit on the sweet side, but remained consistent across the board.
